Why Is Everyone Convinced Khloe Kardashian Had a Nose Job?

The Kardashian family and plastic surgery seem to go hand in hand. Although the sisters have denied most of the rumors surrounding the cosmetic procedures they’ve reportedly had done, it doesn’t stop a lot of fans and internet commentators from constantly speculating.

Recently there are reports that it seems Khloe Kardashian might have altered her appearance dramatically with a nose job. Why do people think that and is it actually true? Let’s look at what we know.

Khloe Kardashian once said that she was open to getting a nose job

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on

Last year, Khloe Kardashian turned a lot of heads when she posted a photo on Instagram where her nose was rather thin – a contrast to how it normally looked. Fans began wondering if this was the work of a nose job, but Khloe denied the rumors and gave all the credit for her thinner nose to makeup.

“One day I think I’ll get one because I think about it every day,” she said. “But I’m scared so, for now, it’s all about contour.”

Khloe Kardashian also shared in an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2016 that, while she is scared of going under the knife, she doesn’t think plastic surgery is as big of a deal as people make it out to be.

“I think plastic surgery should be viewed almost like makeup, because we’re all putting on a f*cking mask basically every day anyway. When you dye your hair, you’re changing who you are, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I think people should get plastic surgery or fillers or lasers or whatever if they want it—that should be your own personal decision.”

Fans think Khloe Kardashian really went under the knife this time

Khloe Kardashian recently appeared on Laura Wasser’s Divorce Sucks! podcast and people couldn’t help but notice that something has changed in her appearance (namely, her nose) once again.

A user on Twitter posted a photo of Khloe from the podcast session alongside those from years ago and said: “Looks like someone got another new nose!! I wondered why she has been hiding for the past 2 weeks!”

Hollywood Life also reported they talked with three different plastic surgeons to hear their thoughts on this issue and the doctors all unanimously agreed that Khloe Kardashian’s new nose is only possible via surgery.

Has Khloe Kardashian had other plastic surgery procedures done?

Aside from her nose, a few other parts of Khloe Kardashian’s body has received scrutiny for possibly not being natural.

In the past few years, Khloe has lost a significant amount of weight. She used to call herself “the fat sister” in her family, but Khloe has slimmed down dramatically and even has her own TV show to help other people lose weight as well. While Khloe claims her new body is 100% dieting and working out, some people believe she might have also had help from either a tummy tuck procedure or liposuction.

However, Khloe has denied these rumors. “I find it disgusting but maybe a compliment that I’m being accused of getting Lipo done. I work out 5 days a week. I bust my ass,” she tweeted.

There have also been speculations that Khloe might have had work done on her butt as well, but like her sister Kim who has been dealing with this rumor since day one, Khloe claims that her butt is very much authentic.

Nevertheless, there is one procedure that Khloe has admitted to. She once shared that she tried getting lip fillers years ago, but she had a bad experience and would never do it again. “It did not work for me,” Khloe said. “I looked crazy…My face was so f*cked I had to go and get this whole thing dissolved… It was a bummer and now I’m afraid to do it again. And I’m almost like, I swear things are still in my face.”

The Duggar Family’s Pregnancy Announcements: Which Duggar Couple Did It Best?

There are a lot of Duggar ladies who are currently awaiting the birth of a child. Jessa Duggar kicked off baby bump season when she announced she was expecting her third child in January 2019. Several other Duggar ladies followed suit. Joy-Anna Forsyth, Anna Duggar, Kendra Duggar, and Cousin Amy all announced forthcoming babies through the spring. Finally, Lauren Swanson and Josiah Duggar announced yesterday that they were expecting their first child following a miscarriage.

With all these babies coming soon, we couldn’t help but
wonder which Duggar pregnancy announcement was the absolute best. Was it Joy’s
simple ultrasound announcement, or did Josiah and Lauren take the top prize
with their emotional photo shoot?

Joy-Anna and Austin win the most minimalistic pregnancy
announcement award

Fans have been speculating that Joy-Anna and Austin were expecting their first child for months. In fact, fans started speculating the second baby Gideon was born. To keep things simple the pair took a family photo holding up an ultrasound photo.

Joy and Austin’s announcement was, by far, the most
minimalistic, but it did finally put the rumors to rest. The family will be
welcoming their second child in November 2019. The couple’s first child,
Gideon, was born in February 2018.

Anna and Josh Duggar’s sixth pregnancy announcement was the
most creative

While the announcement of Josh and Anna’s sixth child was met with mixed emotion, most fans can agree that the pair came up with the most innovative social media post for the occasion. The announcement video included Josh handing out printed letters to the family’s five children to lay out on the floor.

The message revealed that the family would be welcoming
another bundle of joy come November 2019. Anna has long been a fan favorite,
but her husband is a reality TV pariah. Josh was disgraced in 2015 when it was
revealed he molested several of his younger siblings. The family’s scandal only
deepened when he was swept up in the Ashley Madison scandal later that year.

Josiah and Lauren’s announcement was the most heartwarming

There is something to be said for an announcement that
honors a loss while still being thankful for the future. Lauren and Josiah
nailed the concept in their sweet photoshoot that acknowledged the pregnancy
they lost seven months ago.

Fans were especially happy to see the couple announce they are expecting a child, but the thoughtful post also included a balloon to signify the miscarriage they experienced. The couple is fairly young and hasn’t been married for long, but it seems like they have a stable connection, and fans are happy to see them growing their family.

Joe and Kendra Duggar win the award for the most expected
pregnancy announcement

No one was particularly shocked that Kendra and Joe announced another baby. Joe and Kendra wed in September 2018. Thirty-nine weeks later, they met their first child. Since then the couple has caught backlash for their aggressive gendering of their son, Garrett.

While some fans have a problem with the way they are going about things, the second pregnancy announcement was heavily expected. Kendra and Joe haven’t been active on social media for long, so the second they set up an Instagram account, fans saw the news coming. They surprised precisely no one with their announcement.

Amy and Dillion King’s pregnancy announcement was the most

Cute couple in matching outfits? Check. Easter eggs spilled
around their feet for seasonal ambiance? Check. Balloons spelling out “baby”?
Check. Pretty background to take the pictures? Check. Amy and Dillion King hit
all of the important bullet points for the most “extra” baby announcement

While Amy has long been the rebel of the Duggar family, she didn’t want to take any chance when it came to announcing her very first pregnancy. The pictures did come out great, and fans are thrilled for the Kings now that they are expecting, but some expected more from Amy.

Jessa and Ben Seewald’s announcement was the most

Jessa and Ben are keeping things simple now that they are
onto baby number three. The pregnancy announcement posted way back in January
2019 didn’t include an ultrasound photo or a plethora of balloons and confetti.

The couple, who married back in 2014, decided just to post a family photo that highlighted Jessa’s growing bump. A quick caption clued fans into what was going on, but for anyone who just scrolled past the picture, the announcement was super easy to miss. Jessa and Ben are already parents to Spurgeon, 3 and Henry, 2.

Is ‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond Headed for Burnout?

The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond is a busy woman. In addition to being a wife and mother, she owns many businesses and has several product endorsement deals. It seems as if she’s introducing a new business each month. The rate at which Drummond is building her empire is either a recipe for success or disaster. Is Ree Drummond headed for burnout? In addition to our analysis of her situation, our experts weighed in on how you can know if you’re doing too much and heading toward burnout and exhaustion. They also offer some tips for reclaiming your mental and physical health.

Allowing your business life to bleed into your personal life is asking for trouble

Like a lot of other network stars, Drummond’s personal and
business life seem to be intertwined. Drummond tries to incorporate her family
into The Pioneer Woman cooking show.
She also mentions Ladd and her children a lot on Facebook and Instagram. If you
look at her social media feeds, you’ll see just as many pictures of her family
as her Food Network recaps. (Chip
and Joanna Gaines
also come to mind when it comes to network stars who
appear to mix their personal and business life.)

Matthew Ross, co-owner and COO of The Slumber Yard, a mattress review
website, said burnout is inevitable if you consistently let your business life
bleed into your personal life. He suggests blocking out time just for you and
your loved ones:

I’d recommend business owners try to maintain a clear separation between their business life and personal life. I set aside a certain time period per week (noon on Saturday through Sunday) where I don’t allow myself to even think about work. I completely shut off and instead try to enjoy other activities. I’ve found my social life is much healthier and I now spend a lot more time with family. Plus, I feel a lot more refreshed and positive when I show up to work on Monday.

Doing too much can lead to stress eating and weight gain

We don’t know if Drummond engages in stress eating, but she has mentioned her struggle with weight gain on The Pioneer Woman blog. Being around food all the time probably doesn’t help things either. Sarkis Hakopdjanian, the director of strategy and principal for The Business Clinic, says it’s not uncommon to reach for food when feeling stressed out. If you find yourself snacking way more than usual, it could be a sign it’s time to slow down. Here’s what Hakopdjanian had to say:

If a person is feeling physical or mental burnout, they will start to present various symptoms, including higher levels of stress and anxiety, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, lower levels of energy or motivation, gaining or losing weight rapidly, decrease in healthy habits (e.g. exercise, nutrition, meditation), increase in unhealthy habits (e.g. fast food, energy drinks, smoking, etc.), and changes in mood or behavior.

Is Ree Drummond in over her head?

Drummond might have things under control, but it does look
like she might be doing too much too soon. We can’t even keep up with all the
new businesses she rolls out. Hopefully, her cooking show, dog treat line,
pizza shop, ice cream shop, hotel, book deals, blog, and more will be a success
without taking too much of a toll.

‘NCIS’: Is Cote de Pablo’s Ziva Really Back For Good?

NCIS has created many fan-favorite characters during the show’s many years on the air. One of the most popular characters is definitely Ziva David, the Israeli officer played by Cote de Pablo for over eight years.

While it seemed like de Pablo might have left the show for good in 2013, the May 21st season finale of NCIS gave viewers a surprise that will keep them talking for days. Is Ziva really back for good?

What is ‘NCIS’ about?

Cote de Pablo is Ziva again!

NCIS premiered in September 2003 and was an instant hit for the CBS network. The show follows a dedicated crew of special agents from the real-life Naval Criminal Investigative Service. In the years the show has been on the air, it has become one of the most-watched dramas of all time, with millions of viewers staying tuned to current episodes and binging on past seasons as well.

One reason for the show’s immense popularity is the realistic way the characters are written. Although Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, is the lead, a few of the other favorite characters include Abby Sciuto, played by Pauley Perrette, Anthony DiNozzo, played by Michael Weatherly, and, of course, Cote de Pablo as Ziva David.

Why is Ziva such a fan favorite?

The character of Ziva David first appeared in season three of NCIS. Viewers followed Ziva’s journey from Israeli citizen to liaison officer, to eventually being sworn in as a United States citizen. Cote de Pablo’s portrayal of the tough yet sensitive agent made her a firm favorite with viewers everywhere, and critics praised the complex way that she was written.

In addition to her moving journey on the show, Ziva David became one of the first Israeli women portrayed in a popular television show. For this reason, she was an incredibly important addition to the show, and actress Cote de Pablo became one of the most-watched women in America. Fans were heartbroken when, in 2013, showrunners announced that de Pablo would be leaving the show.

In a later interview, de Pablo revealed that her decision to leave the show was due to the fact that she didn’t agree with some the creative decisions being made for her character. She admitted that she had such love for the character of Ziva that she felt protective of her, and would rather leave the show than being forced to take the character down a path that she didn’t think would do her justice.

Is Ziva back on the show to stay?

While there has been speculation for some time that Ziva David would return to NCIS in some form, there had been no confirmation from producers or from de Pablo. The season 16 finale of NCIS proved a major shocker when in the final few seconds of the show, Ziva shows up in Gibb’s basement and tells him that he’s in danger. The episode ends before clarifying whether Ziva David is back in the flesh, or is just a dream that Gibbs conjures up in his mind.

Good news for fans, it seems as though the character might be back for good, or at least in some capacity. Following the May 21st finale, the writers of NCIS released a statement that revealed Cote de Pablo would return in the season 17 premiere as a guest star, set to debut on television in the fall. While the cryptic statement doesn’t tell fans much about Ziva, it does at least let them know that they will be able to see more of the beloved character in only a few short months.

Stay tuned for all the latest NCIS updates and be the first to know when the season 17 premiere date is announced!

‘Teen Mom 2’: What Did Dr. Drew Say That Annoyed Kailyn Lowry?

Tempers ran pretty high last night on the first installment of the Teen Mom 2 reunion special. While all eyes have been on Jenelle Evans in the wake of her very public firing, then meltdown on the set, Kailyn Lowry is a little peeved, too. The mother-of-three took to Twitter to air a grievance she has with Dr. Drew, and fans are just now realizing what Kail’s problem is all about.

Why is Kailyn Lowry mad at Dr. Drew?

Lowry, the 27-year-old mother of three, has a bone to pick with Dr. Drew. She took to Twitter to let fans know she absolutely hates when people refer to her kids as half-siblings. While they may technically be half-brothers, there is a negative connotation attached to the term. Lowry seems to feel like the designation suggest the three boys are not actual brothers, but they are growing up together as such and she sees no reason to make the distinction.

The Twitter comment came shortly after the airing of the Teen Mom 2 reunion special. During the special Dr. Drew called Lowry’s boys half-brothers multiple times, which fans believe prompted the Lowry to sound off on Twitter.

Half siblings are siblings that share just one parent. Lowry’s boys share the same mother but have different fathers. Several of the moms featured on the show have children that are half-siblings. Chelsea Houska, Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans, and Briana DeJesus all have children that do not share the same father.

Who are the fathers of Kailyn’s kids?

Kailyn Lowry rose to fame when she appeared on 16 and Pregnant nine years ago. At the time, Lowry was working through some serious relationship issues with the father of her oldest son, Isaac. Lowry shares the 9-year-old boy with Jo Rivera. While the pair had a difficult time finding a good parenting rhythm, they’ve recently come to a good place in their relationship. Rivera also has a daughter with his wife, Vee.

Lowry’s second son was born in 2013. Now five Lincoln Marshall enjoys a good relationship with both his mother, Lowry and father Javi Marroquin, but things weren’t always great between Lowry and Marroquin. Following their divorce in 2017, Marroquin dated Briana DeJesus, Lowry’s co-star. The pairing caused so much turmoil that DeJesus and Lowry came to blows at last years reunion special.

Lowry tried to keep her relationship with Chris Lopez secret, but it wasn’t long before the pair were expecting a child together. Lux Lopez was born in 2017, and the couple’s drama has been ongoing since. Fans even think Lopez is flirting with Lowry via Twitter in recent weeks.

Through my time in Hollywood, I have been in a thousand different situations where the people who work in glam just had no idea how to deal with textured hair. I would get on set and they’d be like, ‘Why doesn’t your hair look like it did in the picture?’ Meanwhile I just showed up like I was told to, with clean hair fresh from the shower. But the stylists on set had no idea how to do my hair from start to finish. So, they’d do things like spray an alcohol-based product in my hair before flatironing it. I became this weird guinea pig where they would try to make it work with whatever products they had.

Is Netflix’s ’13 Reasons Why’ Making Teens Suicidal?

While we all salute Netflix in creating some of the most thought-provoking shows in the streaming universe, one of them continues to stir the pot. When 13 Reasons Why — based on author Jay Asher’s young adult book of the same title — debuted a few years ago, the intention was to create a show as a way to show the modern context of suicide and digital bullying.

Many think the message backfired due to an increase in suicides from teens watching the show. What’s really going on here in terms of the show directly causing these suicides? Should we really blame the show, or is it just a correlation? The psychology is complicated, but let’s try to crack the code.

What is ’13 Reasons Why’ about?

Katherine Langford
Katherine Langford | Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for MTV

13 Reasons Why is about a girl named Hannah Baker (played by Katherine Langford) who ends her life after being sexually assaulted. She can’t find any decent support system within her school after the rape occurs, including dealing with bullying as the result of speaking out.

Her situation obviously resonated immediately with teen girls who likely have to deal with similar situations in public/private school on a daily basis. If they can probably relate to the suicide in the first episode, critics have gone after the 13 tapes Hannah leaves behind explaining why she ended her life.

Study shows teen suicide rates spiked after ’13 Reasons Why’

A recent study from researchers at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, published Monday in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, found an uptick in suicide rates a month after the debut of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. The study, which did not measure suicide attempts, specifically found the increase among U.S. boys between the ages of 10 and 17. The month after the release (March 2017) had a suicide rate of 0.57 per 100,000 10- to 17-year-olds, which is a 28.9 percent increase. The suicide rates for girls during March 2017 remained unaffected.

In response to the study, Netflix issued the following statement: “This is a critically important topic and we have worked hard to ensure that we handle this sensitive issue responsibly.”

Can ’13 Reasons Why’ truly be blamed for the increase in suicides?

Various media sites have been trying to decipher why suicide rates have risen slightly from those who’d reportedly watched 13 Reasons Why. One point in defense of the show is the gender gap: The Netflix series centered around a female who took her own life and girls showed no increase in the study. One could argue that an increase in male teen suicides is unrelated since that strays from the premise of the show.

The most critical response is in how it depicts someone living on like a celebrity after taking their life. In reality, we know this isn’t always the case, even if close family members may keep pictures and existing media memories alive. In this writer’s view, the above plot development probably isn’t the real reason for the recent uptick in more suicidal teens.

“Mainstream media portrayals of suicide and mental health issues are often inaccurate and can reinforce stereotypes that lead to increased stigma and discrimination toward those with mental health struggles,” writes John Ackerman, co-author of the study, in a blog post.

Why are young males taking their lives more often than girls?

One of the most alarming statistics is in how many male teens are going through with suicide. Even though both male and female suicides have risen some after reportedly watching 13 Reasons Why, males are more apt to follow through than the teen girls.

Placed in context, it’s worth pondering why the males go forward with ending their lives and whether their sense of worth plummets after seeing how young males are depicted on 13 Reasons. Some of those characters are proven to be conscientious, but others are made to look like monsters.

Another variable to consider is that according to the CDC, boys are more likely to die from suicide than girls. So it’s possible the show has nothing to do with an uptick. What’s more, the study did not look at the number of suicide attempts. And the CDC finds girls are more likely than boys to report attempting to end their lives.

How will ’13 Reasons Why’ continue?

The cast of 13 Reasons probably isn’t paid enough to take on such a challenging subject. They’ve managed to tackle what the aftermath of Hannah’s suicide has done to all the surviving cast members, including the main lead, Clay Jensen (played by Dylan Minnette). All of the things he’s discovered from Hannah’s tapes have been horrific.

As the show heads into an upcoming third season, no doubt many health experts hope it’ll show what the real aftermath of suicide is during ensuing years. Every plotline of the show demonstrates how suicide has profound repercussions that affect other people, often for life.

All we can hope for is if the first two seasons arguably made missteps, it’ll show viewers a darker future when wiping out one’s own life occurs without seeking help.

Prince Harry Reveals the Freak Event That Almost ‘Ruined’ His Wedding Gesture To Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary and, while their wedding day looked to be an all-around perfect event, it turns out there was one thing that didn’t quite go as planned. It involved a special wedding gift that Prince Harry had for his bride-to-be.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fell in love quickly

The couple met and, according to Harry, fell in love “incredibly quickly,” as he shared in an interview when their engagement was announced: “So the fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly was sort of confirmation to me that everything — all the stars — were aligned. Everything was just perfect.”

He added: “It was this beautiful woman just sort of
literally tripped and fell into my life, I fell into her life.”

Their wedding day had one small issue

The world watched as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, with everything appearing to be perfect for the happy couple. There was, however, a slight issue.

Prince Harry was to help choose the flowers for Markle’s bouquet to carry down the aisle, but nature threatened to “ruin” his plans, as it had snowed over the Easter holiday, impacting the flower beds as the wedding day approached.

Markle did honor the 161-year-old tradition that royal brides carry a sprig of myrtle from a bush on the Isle of Wight in their wedding bouquet. She also wanted to pay tribute to Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, by including her favorite flower, forget-me-nots, in her arrangement.

Markle noted in interviews recorded for a Windsor Castle
exhibition of her wedding dress: “We have a very small garden here that we had
been planting things in the fall.”

Prince Harry shared how the weather “ruined” the floral plan, noting: “We didn’t have as many flowers in our little garden as we had hoped for because I think it snowed at Easter. That kind of ruined the whole thing!”

Prince Harry managed to do a great job, despite the setback, as Markle shared: “What was really special, I think, was that the morning of the wedding Harry went in and he picked some flowers to go into my bouquet which was really beautiful and something that makes it sentimental and really meaningful.”

Her wedding dress included some special details

Markle included another special detail in her wedding dress, a piece of fabric from the dress she wore on her first date with Harry. Markle had noted in the ITV documentary Queen of the World that the fabric was her “something blue.”

She also explained that the veil was embroidered with the national flowers of each of the 53 commonwealth countries, sharing: “It was important for me, especially now being part of the royal family, to have all 53 of the commonwealth countries incorporated. And I knew it would be a fun surprise for my now husband — he didn’t know!”

Markle added: “He was really over the moon to find that I would make this choice for our day together, and I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction.”

How Elton John Helped John Lennon Get His First No. 1 Solo Hit

After dominating the Billboard charts together for most of the 1960s, the former members of The Beatles would have to see how they fared on their own, starting in 1970.

The early returns suggested they be fine as solo artists. Paul McCartney’s debut might not have been a major artistic success, but it did hit No. 1 in America. Later that year, George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass also grabbed the top spot on the Billboard 200.

George’s solo debut also included the first No. 1 single by a former Beatle (“My Sweet Lord”). When John Lennon released his debut in late ’70, he didn’t have the same type of commercial success. (It still sold well, just not on the same Fab-Four level.)

As of 1974, every former Beatle besides John (Ringo included) had landed a No. 1 single in the U.S. But that changed after Elton John stopped by a recording session for Lennon’s Walls and Bridges, his fifth solo effort.

Elton contributed keys and backing vocals on ‘Whatever Gets You Thru the Night.’

According to the legend, Lennon had no plans for Elton to contribute anything on “Whatever gets You Thru the Night,” a track he was working on in the summer of ’74. But when Elton showed up at Lennon’s recording session, he asked the former Beatle if he could try some piano on it.

Lennon agreed and loved what he heard from Elton, with whom he’d never jammed in the past. After hearing him on keys, Lennon had him sing harmony and really liked that, too. So he kept it on the track that got released as a single from Walls and Bridges.

In an interview with Playboy’s David Sheff, Lennon described what became a sort of bet between him and Elton. If “Whatever Gets You Thru the Night” became a No. 1 single, Lennon would join Elton on stage at Madison Square Garden for a rare public performance.

Lennon agreed, thinking there was no way the tune would top the Billboard charts. But (lo and behold) it did, taking the No. 1 spot in November. Two weeks later, Elton called Lennon for “payment.”

Lennon repaid Elton onstage in what became his last performance.

NOVEMBER 28, 1974: MADISON SQUARE GARDEN: Photo of Elton JOHN and John LENNON, who performed together onstage | Steve Morley/Redferns

While John Lennon lived until 1980, he stopped performing live long before. By the time Elton won his bet, Lennon hadn’t played a concert since 1972. The former Beatle always got stage fright and simply didn’t enjoy the exercise.

But a bet’s a bet, and after a warmup show with Elton beforehand he agreed to join him at MSG. Lennon and Elton played their recent No. 1 hit as well as “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” and “I Saw Her Standing There.”

That turned out to be Lennon’s last live show. When he was murdered outside his New York Apartment six years later, he hadn’t given another concert. By then, he’d gotten used to working in the studio and leaving it there. (The Beatles had the same policy after 1966.)

Meanwhile, the MSG show with Elton was significant for Lennon for another reason. For the previous 18 months or so, he had been estranged from Yoko Ono during his “lost weekend” phase. That night, Lennon met his love and began the reconciliation process.

A lesson here would have to be: “Always honor your bets.” Another would be: “When Elton John offers to help on your record, take it.”

Is NCIS the Most Popular Show on TV?

Last month, CBS renewed NCIS for a 17th season. The crime drama, which premiered way back in 2003, is one of the longest-running TV shows in history and the second-longest-running drama currently airing, after Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Clearly, NCIS is a popular show — CBS execs wouldn’t keep it on the air if it wasn’t. But just how many people are watching Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service solve crimes? And is it the most popular show on TV?

Nielsen recently released broadcast TV ratings for the 2018-19 season, and the numbers show that NCIS is still one of the most-watched shows on network TV.

The show was No. 3 in total viewers this season, with an average of 15.57 million viewers, Deadline reported. Sunday Night Football on NBC claimed the top spot, with 19.28 million viewers, while The Big Bang Theory was No. 2, with 17.31 million viewers.

NCIS reclaimed the top drama spot this season after coming in second to This Is Us in 2017-18. NBC’s tear-jerking family drama had 17.4 million viewers that season, compared to 16.7 million for NCIS.

The other top dramas for the 2018-19 season include NBC’s This Is Us, with 13.8 million viewers, and fellow CBS shows Blue Bloods, with 12.64 million viewers, and FBI with 12.37 million. Manifest on NBC averaged 12.61 million viewers.

The top 10 programs on television this season are:

  1. Sunday Night Football (19.28 million)
  2. The Big Bang Theory (17.31 million)
  3. NCIS (15.57 million)

But NCIS is less popular with a key demographic

Millions of people are tuning in to watch NCIS, but it’s not the most popular show when you look at the key 18-49 demographic. Those younger viewers tend to be most appealing to advertisers, though that has changed somewhat as more youthful audiences have shifted to streaming.

When you look at the 18-49 demo, NCIS is No. 25 overall, with a 1.9 rating. Compare that to This Is Us, which has a 3.8 rating, The Good Doctor, which is at 2.4, and Empire at 2.0.

The audience for NCIS skews older. The median age of its viewers is 60. It’s most popular in cities like Louisville and Pittsburgh, according to the Washington Post.

But the fact that NCIS is not a huge hit with younger TV watchers doesn’t appear to be a problem for CBS. The original show is going strong and has also spawned two spinoffs, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS Los Angeles. That’s a pretty impressive feat for a show that is itself a spinoff of another CBS program, JAG.

“ NCIS is the jewel in the family crown,” Leslie Moonves, then CBS’s chief executive, told the Washington Post in 2014. “We don’t see this losing popularity any time soon.”
