Although she attended private schools, her life was relatively average before she became an actress on a popular TV show. Because she used to work in the entertainment industry, Meghan Markle has a very bubbly, outgoing personality and understands how to utilize media attention.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton came from a very wealthy family in England with parents who are successful business owners. Although she is not royal or noble by any means, she’s definitely had a more privileged life compared to Meghan Markle, having attended prestigious schools and rubbing elbows with all sorts of people from the upper class. Meghan Markle married the “spare” prince, so she carries a lot less expectations on her shoulders. There is no plan for her husband and children to inherit the throne in the future, which means that they can actually lead more private lives and are allowed to break a few rules here and there.

Kate Middleton, on the other hand, is expected to abide by numerous rules that Meghan Markle can freely break. Kate Middleton must behave properly at all times and maintain an extremely good image for the royal family.
