Did A Real Life Couple Inspire ‘Five Feet Apart’?

Many have said that Five Feet Apart is set to be the new Fault In Our Stars.

The 2019 film will introduce yet another teen couple who fall in love but experience tragedy when physical illness gets in the way.

Though this type of love story is not the ideal situation, it was for one couple who is said to be the inspiration behind this film.

The film surrounds two teens who find love in a hospital

Just five years after the release of the heartwrenching love story, The Fault in Our Stars, another film about two teenagers battling illnesses who find love is making us feel that same type of heartbreak.

Five Feet Apart tells the story of Will Newman and Stella Grant (played by Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson).

The two teenagers both have cystic fibrosis, a chronic genetic disorder that affects the lungs and limits a persons’ ability to breathe over time.

Will and Stella meet in the corridor of the hospital they are both receiving treatment at and instantly feel a connection. Even though they like each other, they are not permitted to get within five feet of one another.

Though they want to be able to touch, patients with cystic fibrosis must keep their distance from each other in order to avoid cross contamination.

With this story only being a fiction, this genetic disorder affected a real-life couple who did not let their cancer get in the way of their love.

This film is very similar to a highly publicized love story

Just like Hazel and Gus in The Fault in Our Stars, Will and Stella resemble a real-life couple who made headlines a few years back as cancer patients who fell in love.

18-years-olds Katie Donovan and Dalton Prager met each other in 2009 on a Facebook page for those suffering from cystic fibrosis.

They instantly fell hard for one another and constantly sent each other love messages on Facebook since they were not able to meet in person due to the risk of cross-contamination.

In Dalton case, the risk of contamination was heightened since he suffered from Burkholderia cepacia, a bacteria resistant to antibiotics that can lead to lung function decline.

In Five Feet Apart, Will has the same infection as Dalton and doctors continue to urge him to stay away from Stella.

Doctors urged Katie not to meet Dalton, but she ended up doing so anyway.

Dalton and his mother drove six hours from their home in Missouri to Kentucky so he could meet Katie for the very first time.

“My heart was racing, but I just went right up to him and hugged and kissed him on the mouth without even saying hello,” she said about that day. “I’m usually not that kind of girl, but it just felt so right.”

For their first date, Katie and Dalton spent a few hours having fun at an amusement park in Ohio. Though they had the best time together, Katie soon contracted Burkholderia cepacia from Dalton.

Their love continued until their final days

Even though Katie ended up contracting the infection from Dalton, that did not stop them from continuing their relationship.

In 2011, two years after their first date, Katie and Dalton married and bought a house together in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

The couple lived happily together and even remained relatively healthy for the next few years.

“I knew that there was a possibility that we would get sicker and something could happen,” Katie told People. “I just told Dalton I’d rather have somebody that I was totally in love with for five years, than be either lonely or not as happy with somebody for 20 years.”

In 2014, both Katie and Dalton entered the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center due to the infection in their lungs worsening.

On November 17, Dalton received a lung transplant and Katie received her transplant a few months later.

Dalton’s was doing well at first but eventually developed lymphoma. Katie’s procedure did not go as well as Dalton’s and she eventually started receiving hospice care at her home in Kentucky.

Though Dalton overcame Burkholderia cepacia, he was soon hospitalized in Missouri with pneumonia and a viral infection. He was soon put on a ventilator.

Dalton’s family wanted to find a way for him to be transferred to a hospital in Kentucky in order for him to be closer to Katie, but Dalton was just too weak.

On September 17, 2016, Dalton Prager died at the hospital in Missouri while Katie was speaking to him on FaceTime.

Just five days later, Katie passed away.

Before Katie died, she knew her and Dalton’s love story was one that needed to be shared with the world. She knew that their story would live on for years to come all because of the joy and happiness the gave each other.

“I think that if we had gotten the chance to write a book that it would have been a bestseller,” Katie said. “And they lived happily ever after, in each other’s arms for eternity.”

‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond Bravely Shared This Sad Family News on the Show

The Food Network has drawn in quite an audience over the years thanks to its quality TV shows and series favorites featuring fantastic chefs. And while Ree Drummond may not have been around for as long as Bobby Flay or Giada De Laurentiis, she’s attained quite a following herself thanks to The Pioneer Woman. Ree shares her family recipes with her fans, but that’s not why we keep coming back again and again. Fans also love hearing all about her life as an “accidental country girl” on her ranch in Oklahoma.

Ree could easily just share her recipes and leave her personal life out of her show, but she’s chosen to tell her viewers everything — and that includes the good and the bad. Here’s the sad family news she chose to tell us about, and why.

Ree’s mother-in-law, Nan, died in May 2018

Ree loves sharing all of the fun news of what’s happening with life on the ranch, and fans love hearing all about her family of four and her cowboy husband, Ladd, too. But we never imagined she would be sharing news of a death in the family. Ree explained on her blog, The Pioneer Woman, that her mother-in-law, Nan, died last May when she just started filming another block of the Food Network program. “Without going into too much detail, we had just found out around Mother’s Day that her situation was terminal and nothing more could be done,” she wrote. She then added that her family thought they would at least get a few more months with Nan — but sadly, it turned out to be only a matter of weeks until her mother-in-law’s passing.

While Ree could have stopped filming, she and Ladd decided it was best to continue on with the filming block that was already established. And she mentioned Nan’s death was a blow to everyone on set, too, as they all were familiar with her through meals and celebrations with the Drummond family.

She documented the sad event on The Pioneer Woman to be candid with her viewers

Ree had a decision to make: The Pioneer Woman could either not mention Nan’s passing on the show, or she could get real with her viewers and dedicate an episode to the sad event. She chose the latter and explained as much on her blog. “Ladd and I thought about it and said, “Look, we can either completely pretend this didn’t happen on the show and just not acknowledge it at all, or we can show what’s really going on,’” she said. And since her viewers are used to hearing all about life on the ranch, it felt inauthentic to her to leave such a pivotal moment out of show.

“Folks who’ve watched our show through the years have gotten to know Nan, too. So we decided to devote an episode to one of the days just after Grammie died,” Ree wrote. “We were all working at the cemetery, and we have a family lunch together. It’s sad, but it’s real. And we all held ourselves together pretty well.”

Fans love how open and honest Ree is, which is part of the reason she has such strong viewership

Ree took a chance by being so vulnerable on the show, but fans love how real she is and thus continue following her blog and watching her Food Network program. Not only that, but the star also has a strong following on Instagram — and she posted about Nan’s passing there as well. “Our family celebrated Nan yesterday—with family, friends, good food, and more cowboy hats that I’ve ever seen in one location. She lived a good life and fought the good fight,” she captioned the post with old photos of Nan.

Fans immediately showed their support in the comments. “Beautiful tribute to this beautiful lady! I cried through the whole show. My heart goes out to each of you!!!” one fan added. And another said, “Thank you for sharing such an intimate time with all your many followers, makes me feel like I’m a friend of the family. You’re family is such a beautiful roll model for America. Such integrity!”

What is ‘RHONY’ Bethenny Frankel’s Net Worth and How Does She Make her Money?

Throughout the years of the iconic Real Housewives franchise, there have been some stars that have risen above the others. Some women have used their platforms to advance their careers and become legitimate moguls while others have simply coasted on fame or their husbands’ money. Bethenny Frankel is one of the former.

She took a role on The Real Housewives of New York City and used it to launch her entrepreneurial career.

Frankel’s humble beginnings

Frankel did not have the most relaxed childhood. Her family moved around quite a bit. In fact, she moved seven times in ten years. After graduating high school, the real housewife went to the National Gourmet Institute. She graduated from New York University, obtaining degrees in communications and psychology.

She, then, moved out to LA to pursue acting. Though she did end up working on a television show while out there, it wasn’t exactly the role that she wanted. Instead of being on screen, she worked behind the scenes as a production assistant on Saved by the Bell.

She, then, went on to become the personal assistant for Paris Hilton’s mom, Kathy. The strange thing is that she met Hilton through Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Kyle Richards. The two housewives met while Frankel was a hostess at a restaurant. As a personal assistant, Frankel’s role included taking Paris and Nicky back and forth to school, among other menial tasks.

Frankel, later, got into entrepreneurial endeavors, starting Bethenny Bakes, a company that sold healthy cookies.

When she was 36, someone approached her in the Hamptons, asking her to be a part of the new show Manhattan Moms, which is now RHONY.

At first, she didn’t even want to be on the show.

“I thought it was going to be a bunch of drunk people acting crazy and a disaster,” she said.

Her first season on RHONY, Frankel was only paid $7,250, but she has now become one of the most well-known housewives in the franchise.

Frankel’s business endeavors

When Frankel first started out in the world of housewives, she was a celebrity chef, focused on healthy eating. She appeared on numerous talk shows promoting her brand, including the Today Show.

Finally, she struck gold with her Skinnygirl alcoholic drinks, which she launched in 2010. When she first approached liquor brands to sell her Skinnygirl margaritas, she was turned down.

“I just ended up doing it myself,” she told Forbes. “I focused on moving the product and it sold. People can lie, but the numbers don’t lie.”

Since then, she has also appeared on Shark Tank, gotten a number of spin-offs, including Bethenny and Fredrik, and started a clothing line, Skinnygirl Jeans.

How much is Frankel worth?

The reality star’s exact net worth is not known. She sold her Skinnygirl liquor brand to Beam Suntory Inc. in 2011 for $100 million, which definitely put her in a whole new tax bracket.

That same year, she bought s $4.95 million dollar condo in Tribeca. As if that wasn’t pricey enough, she did $500,000 worth of renovation work on the home. She lived there for a number of years before selling it for $6.95 million in 2016.

After moving out of that home, she moved into a 2,400 square foot apartment in Soho which cost her $4.2 million.

In addition to the apartment she lives in, she bought two homes in the Hamptons, one of which was the historic Morning Glory House which was listed at $2.5 million when she bought it.

Is Kate Middleton Excited For the Arrival Of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Baby?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are getting ready to welcome their first child in late April. But ever since Meghan and Harry tied the knot, there have been rumors that Meghan and Kate Middleton don’t get along. Kate and Prince William have three children together, and there’s no doubt the kids will spend time together. But is Kate excited about the arrival of Meghan and Harry’s baby — or not?

Meghan and Harry have kept details about their baby under wraps

Meghan and Harry didn’t wait long to have children. The couple’s entire romance has moved fairly quickly. The two began dating in 2016, and about a year and a half later, they were engaged. The couple had said they were excited to start a family, but nobody thought things would happen so fast. Only a few months after they wed, in October 2018, the two announced they were expecting their first child. But besides that, few details have been released. The couple has said they don’t know the baby’s gender, and name possibilities have been speculated but not revealed.

There have been rumors about a feud between Kate and Meghan ever since Meghan and Harry married

When Meghan and Harry began dating, people instantly wondered how well the actress would get along with the Duchess of Cambridge. However, after it came out that Kate was supposedly crying at a wedding-related dress fitting for Princess Charlotte, the rumors started and didn’t stop. Every day, it seemed the two women were in the news about their supposed feud. There were stories that Kate yelled at Meghan for speaking badly to Kate’s staff and that the two brothers were also feuding. However, all four family members attended Christmas mass together in 2018, and it didn’t look like there was any noticeable tension.

Despite the rumors, those close to the family say Meghan has actually asked Kate for parenting advice

Although the public has been led to believe Kate and Meghan don’t get along, those close to the royal family remain vocal that the two do have a good relationship. Meghan has reportedly spoken with both Kate and William about parenting advice for their little one. Nobody knows what it’s like to raise a royal baby in this day and age the way Kate and Will do, so Meghan and Harry don’t have too many people to turn to. But asking for parenting advice at least shows a high amount of respect between the women.

Kate has said she’s excited for her children to have another playmate

When asked about whether Kate is excited for the new baby,
she’s made it clear that she is. She has said she can’t wait for her kids to
have a new playmate. “It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies and a
cousin for George and Charlotte, as well as Louis, so it’ll be really special,”
Kate
once said
in response to whether she was excited about the little one on
the way. Even if Meghan and Kate aren’t best friends, it doesn’t mean they hate
each other and aren’t happy for one another. They seem to be very cordial, and
hopefully things will only improve even more once their kids start spending
time together.

Can Jill Duggar Have More Children? Why Fans Think It’ll Be Seriously Tough

Fans have been keeping up with the Duggars for years, and it’s tough to know exactly what’s going on with the family at all times when there are so many members to keep track of. While Jill Duggar is no longer making regular appearances on Counting On, she still has a hefty social media following and remains a fan favorite. From her soft-spoken nature to her two adorable kids (and, of course, her controversial husband), we all want to know what she’ll be getting into next. Not only that, but fans are also curious as to when we can expect another child from Jill, as she’s stated she wants many children in the past.

Jill and Derick Dillard currently have two kids, and while they may want more, fans are concerned she won’t be able to have them. Here’s why.

Jill had two very difficult births that resulted in C-sections

The Duggars may love the idea of having many children, but their pregnancies certainly haven’t been the easiest. People reminds us that just like her mother and sisters, Jill tried to have home births and natural deliveries for her children — but she ended up at the hospital anyway. During labor with her first son, Israel, she entered her 20th hour of labor when she noticed meconium, which often signals that the unborn baby could be in distress. She then was transferred to the hospital and endured 70 hours of labor before doctors discovered the baby had flipped into transverse breech position. At this point, Jill knew a C-section was the right choice.

Her second pregnancy also was not without its difficulties. People reports Jill endured 40 hours of labor which also resulted in a hospital visit and another C-section. As she said before her second baby’s birth, “labor is unpredictable,” and she now knows that more than many others.

Fans worry another pregnancy would be incredibly risky

With two C-sections under her belt, Reddit users noted that Jill may have a seriously difficult time giving birth to another child. As one Reddit user wrote, “Scar tissue builds and each cesarean is more complicated than the last. Many doctors don’t recommend trying for any more children after three c sections.”

Another user added exactly why having more children after multiple C-sections can be dangerous for the expectant mother. “Just to add a bit of info to this, the major concern with subsequent cesarean deliveries is placenta accreta, meaning the placenta attaches too deeply into the uterus,” they wrote. “This is a major problem because so much blood flows through the placenta (600-700mL/minute, or about 10% of a pregnant woman’s total blood volume). This means that an improperly managed accreta could lead to the mother bleeding to death in a matter of minutes.”

Fans are also concerned Jill will try for another home birth, adding to the risk

If Jill was one to head straight to the hospital when delivering her children, then fans might be less concerned about her having more kids. But, since she’s a stickler for home births (much like her mom and siblings), this is extremely worrying for fans. The same Reddit user that discussed the dangers of placenta accreta also added that if Jill was to have a home birth while dealing with either placenta accreta or another condition common in C-section moms called placenta previa, “she would almost certainly bleed to death before getting to the hospital.”

Fans are hoping that Jill will focus on her sons, Israel and Samuel, for quite awhile before deciding to have another child. And if she does get pregnant again, Reddit users are also urging her to arrive at the hospital as soon as she begins laboring. There’s also the option for Jill and Derick to adopt, which may be safest of all.

‘American Idol’ Failures: 5 Winners Who Didn’t Make It

American Idolnow on its 17th season (albeit with a different network than the one originally backing the show) – has produced its fair share of celebrities. From Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood to Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry, some of the biggest names in contemporary music got their starts on Idol. However, not every Idol contestant has been so lucky.

Earning the title “Winner of American Idol –” as Ryan Seacrest builds suspense and echoes throughout the auditorium – probably feels like a direct route to success when the lucky contestant hears his/her name. However, some winners never get off the ground after the fact. This list will highlight those who have since struggled to succeed after winning American Idol.

Kris Allen
Kris Allen | Photo by Scott Dudelson/Getty Images

‘American Idol’ season 13: Caleb Johnson

Caleb Johnson, widely known for winning season 13 of American Idol, unfortunately, isn’t known for much else. Caleb Johnson was born in Ashville, North Carolina to an accountant (mother) and former football coach (father); however, both his parents possess a background in music.

After winning American Idol, Johnson went on to record his debut album, which included collaborations with Howard Benson, Aloe Blacc, Blair Daly, and more. The album was titled Testify, and it released on August 12, 2014.

Johnson parted ways with his label in 2015 and has since attempted to succeed going solo. However, his albums have not gained much traction. In 2018, Johnson joined the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for their winter tour.

‘American Idol’ Season 12: Candice Glover

The R&B singer, Candice Glover, auditioned three times before even making it to the American Idol live shows. However, her third audition definitely paid off…well, sort of. At least she won.

Candice Glover’s debut album was titled Music Speaks. And while Glover has not had much success since this album, the single “I am Beautiful” did hit number 93 on the Billboard Top 100 in its first week. Glover has since been featured on other albums and appeared on Broadway in Home for the Holidays, Live on Broadway in 2017.

‘American Idol’ Season 9: Lee DeWyze

Lee DeWyze, a singer-songwriter from Mt. Prospect Illinois, won season 9 of American Idol; however, before Idol, he had formed the Lee DeWyze Band. DeWyze has released five studio albums since starring on Idol.

Lee DeWyze has worked with Vanguard Records, RCA Records, Shanachie Entertainment and Pledge Music; however, he cannot seem to find his “sweet spot,” so to speak. Or, it’s possible that he’s content with the music he’s producing and the loyal fanbase he has acquired from his band, Idol, and subsequent solo career.

‘American Idol’ Season 8: Kris Allen

Whether Kris Allen is most known for winning Idol or recognized as the guy who beat out Adam Lambert is the real question here. Competing in the same season as Allen, Lambert – the runner-up – has gone on to boast a very prosperous career. Lambert most recently performed with Queen at the 91st Academy Awards. Kris Allen has not been as successful.

Kris Allen’s most recent album was released in 2016. Titled Letting You In, the record marks the singer-songwriters fifth studio album. According to the singer-songwriter’s website, he has no upcoming performances on the horizon, nor does he appear to be working on any new projects.

‘American Idol’ Season 15: Trent Harmon

Trent Harmon won the final season of American Idol’s original run. Harmon’s debut studio album, You Got ‘Em All, was released in 2018. Following his win on Idol, Harmon was signed by Big Machine Records, and later released a top 30 single “There’s a Girl;” however, the singer has had moderate success and minimal luck expanding his fan base.

If you know me…you know I love this song. ✌☀✌ #NotDriving

A post shared by Trent Harmon (@officialtrentharmon) on

Since Trent Harmon is still just getting started post-Idol, he may be able to turn his career around; however, as previous contestants have proved, stardom is a fickle beast.

Mama June Arrested on Drug Charges: Is her Reality Show in Peril?

Mama June busted into the collective conscience in 2012 on TLC’s now debunked Toddlers and Tiaras, according to E!. While viewers were initially captivated by the antics of the then-6-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, the entire family became a national obsession. Launched into stardom, viewers watched as June “Mama June” Shannon, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Honey Boo Boo traversed life in the limelight.

While many viewers loved the family, other viewers tuned in to hate-watch the group as they ate ketchup-laden pasta. The shine, however, has since worn off Mama June, and her most recent arrest may spell doom for the family’s television stardom aspirations.

Why did Mama June get arrested?

Mama
June
was allegedly having an argument at a gas station with her boyfriend, Geno
Doak on Wednesday when police showed up, according to Consequence
of Sound
. The officers were responding to the domestic dispute but were
later informed by Doak that they shouldn’t put their hands in his pockets.

Police recovered a needle on Doak’s person and later found a
glass pipe on Shannon. The reality television star took responsibility for the
contents of her vehicle, which included a bag of crack cocaine, and drug
paraphernalia. Both Doak and Shannon were taken into custody without incident,
and Shannon’s car was towed from the scene.

The following day, Shannon was recorded attempting to retrieve her car from an impound lot. According to the audio file obtained by TMZ, Shannon was belligerent and manic in the recording. Some have suggested the mother of four was clearly under the influence while trying to retrieve her vehicle.

Will Sugar Bear take custody of Alana?

Sugar Bear, whose real name is Mike Thompson, has battled for guardianship of his daughter Alana in the past, and it seems likely he’ll once again attempt to gain custody of the 13-year-old. Thompson, 47, took Shannon to court over a custody dispute as recently as February 2018.

Sugar bear was prepared to take Shannon to court when photos
surfaced of Shannon and Alana spending time with Mark
McDaniel
, a convicted sex offender. McDaniel resurfacing in Shannon’s life
prompted the cancelation of the family’s TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. McDaniel was convicted of sexually
abusing Shannon’s daughter, Anna when she was just eight. Anna is now 24.

Thompson has also accused Shannon of purposefully keeping
his daughter from him, While Shannon has accused her youngest child’s father of
child
abuse
. Thompson is now remarried.

Will We TV cancel Not
to Hot
?

While Shannon will need to appear in court for the drug charges recently filed against her, she has other things to worry about, too. A conviction could mean the end of her current reality television show. Shannon and her family were axed from the TLC network due to Shannon’s association with a child molester.

We TV, however, picked up the 39-year-old mother of four to chronicle her weight loss journey. Shannon shed nearly 300lbs thanks to bariatric surgery. She later went on to have cosmetic surgery to remove excess skin. Not to Hot is now chronicling Shannon’s life as a thin person. While We TV looked the other way when it came to Shannon’s love life, a serious criminal conviction may have them rethinking their association.

Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Hiring a Male Nanny for Baby Sussex?

Choosing the person who will help raise your children is no small decision. But when you’re a member of the British royal family? That choice is even more important. The whole world is watching and waiting for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to decide on a nanny for their new baby, who might be born in just a few weeks.

Prince William and Kate Middleton famously
chose Maria Borrallo, a so-called “supernanny” graduate from the renowned
Norland College, where all the best
nannies
are taught. But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may choose to go in
another direction for their own family. Never content to just stick with the
status quo, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle believe in breaking traditions. Even
when it comes to nannies.

Who will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choose to be their nanny?

When Baby Sussex is first born, Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland will be moving in to help with caring for the newborn. But that’s likely not a long-term solution. With so many royal responsibilities – including heading up their own new royal household – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will need assistance caring for Baby Sussex as he or she grows.

No one has officially accepted the position – yet. But rumor has it the couple is considering the very American tradition of hiring a male nanny (also called a “manny”) instead of choosing a woman to raise their child. Some Hollywood A-listers who follow this manny trend include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Biel, Emily Blunt, and Britney Spears.

Why do Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want a male nanny?

One royal insider explained the royal couple’s decision to
potentially hire a male nanny this way: “Hiring a ‘manny’ is
far more common in the U.S.—a nation that Meghan is more in tune with—than in
the U.K. She’s keen to introduce the royal family to what she considers a more
enlightened, modern American approach.”

It’s not like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will only consider having a man as their nanny. But it sounds like they’re more than willing to evaluate candidates of either gender, which is a much more modern approach to the matter.

What other qualifications will the royal nanny
need?

Man or woman, there’s no question that Baby Sussex’s
nanny will have a few very important characteristics. Apparently, Prince Harry
and Meghan Markle are also looking for someone who is bilingual. The source
said: “A bilingual nanny is an avenue they both wish to explore. Meghan speaks
good Spanish and has been honing her French and will be keen that her offspring
retain an ear for languages.”

This is a sentiment that the Duke and Duchess of
Cambridge share, too. Apparently, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are
already working on their Spanish with Nanny Borrallo.

And it goes without saying that the nanny would
need impeccable references and a huge amount of discretion and trustworthiness.
It’s not easy working for the royal family – just ask all the royal staffers
who Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have gone through so far.

‘Blue Bloods’: Is the Show Hinting That Danny Could Have More Kids in the Future?

Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson) has died two years ago. Since then, Blue Bloods has shown how her husband, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and their two sons are living afterward.

Someone has tried to get Danny to start thinking about dating again, and now a recent episode might have hinted what else could be in store. Is Blue Bloods hinting that Danny could have more kids in the future? Here is everything you need to know.

Anthony Abetemarco found out he has a half-brother

In the episode, “Past Tense” a man named Leo Stutz shows up to Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan)’s office looking for Anthony (Steve Schirripa). He claimed to be his half-brother, but Anthony didn’t think he had one.

“I was the little kid you used to call ‘Leo the Leech’ cause I hung around you even after you told me to get lost,” explained Leo. “I remember Leo the Leech. He was a lot shorter,” said Anthony.

It turns out the two lived only two blocks away from each other growing up. Leo then explained how the two are related. “My mom had a problem playing the ponies down at Freehold, got in real deep to your dad. One day he came by told her to pay up. She paid up alright.”

Anthony admitted that sounded like something his father would do and told Leo “I gotta say you do have a certain Abetemarco style about you.” It turns out the two are related, which led to an interesting conversation at the Reagan family table.

Sean Reagan said he would like another brother

Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Sean (Andrew Terraciano) Reagan are the only ones living in their house since Jack (Tony Terraciano) left for college and Linda died. The little brother said he would love to find out he has another brother.

“I don’t know I think it’d be pretty cool to have a new brother show up,” said Sean. He admitted, “I just miss the company and Jack can’t be around so having another brother around my age…might not be a bad thing.”

Danny, of course, mentioned that would mean he would need a serious talk with his mother’s grave for cheating. When Frank and Henry said finding out you have another sibling is a positive thing Danny asked, “Yeah, but even that way?”

“Why not?” asked Frank. “Boil it down you got one more person you can count on in the end. I mean who wouldn’t be grateful for that?”

Chances are a secret son won’t be popping up on Danny’s doorstep anytime soon. However, Henry already talked to Danny about moving on and this could be another sign of the future.

Henry previously said Danny’s home is empty

Sean’s words are very similar to what Henry previously said to Danny in the episode, “Blues.” He told Danny that he can’t continue living in such a lonely way.

Danny was down after he shot a young kid. “Linda was the one who got you through those others. She also could have gotten through this one,” said Henry. When Danny said that wasn’t in the cards the grandfather said, “so draw a new one.”

It’s been two years since Linda’s death and it looks like Danny is still not ready to move on, but the push from Henry and Sean talking about wanting another brother might be the show hinting that their family could grow in the future.
